Staff members honored for long service and retirement

Long-service and retiring UI support staff will be honored Oct. 23 at the 23rd Annual Service Recognition Banquet. The banquet will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Illini Union South Lounge and Illini Rooms A, B and C.

The banquet will honor employees who have completed their 25th, 30th, 35th or 40th year of service with the university between Sept. 1, 1999, and Aug. 31, 2000, as well as those who retired during that time. Although the deadline for reservations for the banquet was Oct. 9, people who would like to attend and have not yet registered may call Cindy Reed, 333-3101, for information about seating availability.
