Staff members honored for
long service and retirement
Staff
employees will be honored for long service and retirement at the 2001
Staff Service Recognition Program Oct. 22 at the Illini Union. The reception
begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Illini Union South Lounge and is followed
by dinner and the program in the Illini Rooms. The event honors employees
who have completed their 25th, 30th and 35th years of service with the
university between Sept. 1, 2000, and Aug. 31, 2001, as well as those
who retired during that time.
Reservations for the recognition program were due Oct. 12; however,
anyone still wishing to attend the program who does not have reservations
may call 333-3101 to check on space availability.
Of the 124 honored for long service, 16 were honored for 35 years of
service; 19 have completed 30 years; and 89 have completed 25 years.
In addition, 159 retirees will be honored with service time ranging
from six to 49 years.
