Undergraduate Excellence Teaching Award
Linda M. Scott, head of and professor of advertising, is regarded as one of the outstanding educators in the college. She is uniformly praised by her undergraduate students, who feel she "actually cares about them and what they learn in her classroom." Her accessibility is legendary. Her ultimate goal is to stimulate students to ask their own questions outside the classroom and throughout their lives.

Outstanding Mentor Award
Norman K. Denzin, research professor of communications, and professor of sociology, and of criticism and interpretive theory, and of cinema studies, is a distinguished scholar and superb teacher who is an extraordinary mentor as well. His passion for mentoring enriches everything he does as an educator. He actively assists his students in publishing their first essays.
