Notification of Appointment
available on NESSIE
Budgeted Academic Employees will receive their 2003-2004 Notification
of Appointment through the NESSIE
NESSIE (Net-driven Employee Self-Service and Information Environment)
is a Web-enabled information services environment designed to assist
UI employees in conducting human resources transactions and provide
employment information. As part of that service, employees can view
their appointment information by going to the “Personal Info”
section of NESSIE and selecting the Notice of Appointment link.
Most Budgeted Academic Employees will not receive a paper Notification
of Appointment form and should review their appointment information
using NESSIE. Only academic staff members who are new or who receive
a major position change or a notice of non-reappointment will receive
a paper copy of their Notification of Appointment.
In addition to the Notification of Appointment, NESSIE is available
to employees for many other transactions, including to initiate or change
direct deposit; to change demographic and address information; to change
tax withholdings; to request a Civil Service exam; to verify employment;
to update emergency contact information; to review earnings statements.
