Dr. Edmund George Andracki, 81, died Dec. 17 at his home in Westville, Ill. Andracki was an associate professor in the College of Medicine for 18 years. Richard E. Bopp, 66, died Dec. 8 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, N.C. Bopp was a librarian at the UI Reference Library and an assistant professor. He worked at the UI for 22 years, retiring in 2000. A memorial service in St. Louis is being planned. Kristine Juhl Campbell, 60, died Dec. 22 at her Champaign home. Campbell worked at the UI for more than 20 years, including the department of food science and human nutrition; and the offices of the Chancellor, Public Affairs and Public Engagement. Luella Carter, 77, died Dec. 26 at ManorCare, Champaign. Carter worked at the UI for 21 years, retiring in 1999 as an assistant library technician at the Undergraduate Library. Memorials: Church of Christ, 226 E. Sherman, P.O. Box 380, St. Joseph, IL 61873.

Harold Lee Dorsett, 99, died Dec. 21 at the Country Health Rehabilitation Nursing Home, Gifford, Ill. Dorsett was a professor and the head of military science and tactics at the UI from 1963-1966. Memorials: any organization benefiting veterans.

William E. Dunn, 61, died Dec. 31 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. Dunn was a professor of mechanical engineering, retiring in 2006 after 34 years.

Linda Nelson Graham, 87, died Nov. 24 at her home in Bedford, Texas. Graham worked at the UI for 16 years, retiring in 1986 as an admissions and records officer for the Office of Admissions and Records.

Harold Wesley Hake, 92, died Oct. 22 in Sunset Hills, Mo. Hake was a professor of psychology. He also served as associate vice chancellor for academic affairs. He retired in 1985 after 29 years. Memorials: University of Wisconsin Foundation, www.supportuw.org/.

Nancy Heins, 81, died Dec. 29 at Champaign-Urbana Regional Rehab Center, Savoy. Heins worked at the UI for 15 years. She was a staff nurse I at McKinley Health Service, retiring in 1990. Betty Lou Hembrough, 82, died Jan. 9 at the Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana. Hembrough was the director of the Office of Women’s Resources and Services. Betty Inman, 74, died Dec. 31. Inman worked as a transcribing secretary in the UI Office of Governmental Relations from 1984-1989. Memorials: Salvation Army, www.donate.salvationarmyusa.org/.

Clyde E. Kesler, 89, died Dec. 30. Kesler was a professor of civil engineering and of theoretical and applied mechanics at the UI for 33 years. He earned emeritus status upon his retirement in 1982.

Harry Elden Kobel, 81, died Dec. 22. Kobel was a refrigeration mechanic for the Division of Operation and Maintenance (now Facilities and Services), retiring in 1992 with five years of service. Memorials: Bondville United Methodist Church, 100 W. Chestnut St., Bondville, IL 61815.

Berendina Vos Kramer, 87, died Dec. 8 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. She was a cook for the Housing Division, retiring in 1986 with five years of service.

Mary Rasner Melahn, 90, died Jan. 7 at her Savoy home. Melahn worked at the UI for 31 years, retiring in 1982 as a natural science laboratory assistant III for the department of veterinary pathology and hygiene. Hiram Paley, 78, died Jan. 9. Paley worked at the UI for 44 years, retiring in 2003 as an associate professor of mathematics. Ray Pribble, 85, died Jan. 7 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana. Pribble was a laboratory animal technician for the College of Veterinary Medicine, retiring in 1990 with 25 years of service. William A. Pritchard, 80, died Dec. 13 at the Champaign-Urbana Rehab Center, Savoy. Pritchard was as a brick mason for the Division of Operation and Maintenance (now Facilities and Services) for 32 years, retiring in 1996.

Richard Schmall, 83, died Jan. 2 at his Mahomet home. Schmall was a storekeeper II for the Housing Division, retiring in 1988 with 22 years of service. Memorials: Stratford Park Bible Chapel, 2801 W. Kirby Ave., Champaign, IL 61821.

Joseph H. Stiene, 73, died Dec. 19 at the Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana. Stiene was a UI police officer for 21 years, retiring in 1988. He also taught at the Police Training Institute. Memorials: Huntington’s Disease Society of America, Illinois Chapter, http://www.hdsa-il.org/.

Sarah Ann Theobald, 65, died Dec. 30 at Champaign-Urbana Regional Rehab Center, Savoy. Theobald was an accounting clerk II for Cooperative Extension from 1978-1985.

Ruth Elizabeth Weinard, 86, died Dec. 13 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. She was an assistant editor for the Office of Public Information for 37 years, retiring in 1995. Memorials: Arbor Day Foundation, www.arborday.org.

Arthur Zangerl, 59, died Dec. 16 at his Urbana home. He had been a research scientist in entomology since 1983.
