Carl W. Bozarth, 73, died May 5 in Decatur, Ill. Bozarth worked at the UI for 18 years, retiring in 2003 as a building service worker for University Housing.
Stanley A. Changnon Jr., 84, died May 1 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. Changnon began his career as a student at the Illinois State Water Survey in 1951 and retired as the chief of the survey in 1985. He also served as a professor of geography and of atmospheric sciences. Upon his retirement, he was awarded the title of chief emeritus and he returned to his research as a principal scientist at the Water Survey until 2011. Mary Elizabeth Winders Fisher, 87, died April 30 at Piatt County Nursing Home, Monticello. Fisher worked at the UI for 18 years, retiring in 1980 as a natural science laboratory assistant III for the School of Life Sciences. Memorials: Piatt County Nursing Home, 1111 N.
