Brief: Second Sunday concert set for Feb. 13

The next Second Sunday Concert at Krannert Art Museum will feature
guitarist Mark Zanter.

The concert will begin at 2 p.m. Feb. 13.

Zanter, a UI graduate student, will perform recent compositions for
solo and ensembles with guitar. The concert also will feature Shirley
Blankenship, violin; Eve Friedman, flute; Adam Davis, double bass;
Rebecca Weintraub, soprano; and Chris McFarlane, bassoon.

Although Zanter considers himself primarily a jazz player, he also plays
classical, ethnic and new music. This concert will include several of
his own compositions, using both acoustic and electric guitars.

The sponsoring station WILL-FM (90.9) will broadcast the concert live.
WILL announcers John Frayne and Roger Cooper will host the concert.
