Brief: Information resource workshop set
A daylong information-resource workshop, "Solving Small Business Problems
With Electronic Information Resources," will be held May 19 at the UI.
The workshop, sponsored by the Institute for Competitive Manufacturing
and the Graduate School of Library and Information Science, will provide
participants an overview of available electronic business information
resources and introductory, hands-on exercises with data bases. A resource
guide with additional information will be provided.
The workshop will be conducted by Mary Nelson, research associate with
Information Researchers in the Graduate School of Library and Information
Science. Since 1976, Information Researchers has performed background
research for business clients throughout the United States. In its
partnership with the Institute for Competitive Manufacturing, Information
Researchers provides business information assistance to manufacturers in
Illinois. Questions about the content of this program should be directed to

The $95 cost of the workshop includes refreshments, lunch and workshop
materials.
