Brief: Opera scenes to be featured at KAM

UI associate professor of music Kurt Klippstatter, director of the Illinois
Opera Theater, will conduct scenes from operas by Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo
Puccini, Samuel Barber and Mozart during the next Second Sunday Concert.

UI students, all participants in the Illinois Opera Theater, will perform
the scenes at the free concert at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Krannert Art Museum.
They will be accompanied by pianists Scott Ferguson and Jennifer Haman.

The concert - the last in the Second Sunday series this season - will be
broadcast live on the sponsoring station, WILL-FM (90.9), with hosts John
Frayne and Roger Cooper.
