Brief: Nominees sought for search committee for UI president

The Senate Council is asking faculty members and students to nominate
potential faculty and students members for the committee that will nominate
a successor to UI President Stanley O. Ikenberry. 

Brief letters of nomination of those who represent the diverse perspective
of the university are welcomed. 

The names of nominees should be submitted by Aug. 1 to James E. Simon,
chair, Senate Committee on Committees, School of Architecture, 202
Architecture Building, MC-624, or e-mail axfaasi@uicvmc.aiss.uic.edu.

A special meeting of the Senate will be held at 3:10 p.m. Aug. 29 at which
faculty senators will nominate eight faculty members and student senator
will nominate two students. University Senates Conference will subsequently
recommend four faculty members and one student to serve on the committee.
