Brief: University Audits to host fall seminar

The Office of University Audits will host a Management Information System
Training Institute Seminar that will earn 16 Continuous Professional
Education credit hours for those who attend.

"Auditing in a College or University Environment" will be presented Oct. 17
and 18 by Rebecca Whitener, director of internal audits at the University
of North Carolina at Charlotte and part-time instructor in the department
of accounting.

The seminar will be held at Arthur Andersen & Co., Center for Professional
Education, St. Charles.

The session will focus on functions unique to academic institutions,
including research grant and contract activity, financial aid,
intercollegiate athletics, academic records and endowments.
