Brief: ADM official to give Fluegel Lecture

New Uses for Soybeans and Agriculture" will be the topic at 2 p.m.
Sept. 28 for the second annual George A. Fluegel Memorial Lecture in
the auditorium (Room 149) of the National Soybean Research Laboratory.

The speaker will be Martin L. Andreas, senior vice president of the
Archer Daniels Midland Co. Andreas also is active in the Corn Refiners
Association, the Renewable Fuels Association and the Alternative
Agricultural Research and Commercialization Center.

The Fluegel lecture honors the former president of the American Soybean
and the Land of Lincoln Soybean associations. Fluegel, an Illinois farmer
and soybean promoter, died in 1987. A reception will follow the lecture.
