Brief: MIT professor to give Derber lecture

A Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor will
discuss national labor policy at the annual Milton Derber
Lecture on April 18.

Thomas A. Kochan, the George M. Bunker Professor of
Management at MIT, will talk about "Changing National Labor
Policy: The Role of the Dunlop Commission."  Kochan was a
member of the National Commission on the Future of Worker-
Management Relations, or Dunlop Commission, which issued its
report last year.

The lecture, sponsored by the UI Institute of Labor and
Industrial Relations, will begin at 7:30 p.m. at 35 LIR
Building. The lecture is free and open to the public.
