Brief: Three plays offered in Summerfest
Following its success with Summerfest over the past few years, Illinois
Repertory Theater returns this summer with three plays in the Studio
Theater of Krannert Center for the Performing Arts.
Opening June 16 and running in rotation through July 30, Summerfest '95
features John van Druten's "Bell, Book and Candle," a bewitching comedy of
love and the supernatural; "Rope," a chilling tale of suspense by Patrick
Hamilton; and "I Hate Hamlet" by Paul Rudnick, a hilarious yet revealing
play about the theater. Dinner at Krannert Center's Intermezzo is offered
to Summerfest patrons at a special discount, if purchased in advance.
