Brief: Series looks at antimicrobial therapy

A series of speakers from academia, the pharmaceutical industry and the
Food and Drug Aministration will address the topic of optimization of
antimicrobial therapy during the 1995-1996 academic year.

The seminars will be presented on Tuesdays in 2258 VMBSB from noon to 1 p.m.

The speakers for the fall semester:

  * Sept. 19: Steve Sundlof, director of the Center for Veterinary Medicine of
    the FDA: "Flexible Labeling of Antimicrobial Agents: New Concepts in the
    Drug-Approval Process."
  * Oct. 31: Tom Shryock, Eli Lilly Research Laboratories: "Perspectives on
    the Influence of Antibiotics on Bacterial Virulence and Host Defense
    Mechanisms."
  * Nov. 21: Bob Walker, Michigan State University: title to be announced.
