Brief: 'Prairie Fire' producer asks for ideas
September's "Prairie Fire" on WILL-Channel 12 will include three new
monthly short segments: "Landscapes," featuring Mary Kay Solecki of the
Illinois Nature Preserve Commission; "Past Times," with Mike Jackson, chief
architect of the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency; and "Folk Stories,"
extended interviews with people who can shed light on the past and future
of central Illinois.
"Prairie Fire" host Alison Davis asks viewers with ideas for "Folk Stories"
interviews to call the WILL-TV Reaction Line at 333-0440, and leave a name
and phone number, or to write to her at WILL-TV, 1110 W. Main St., Urbana,
IL 61801.
"We're looking for people with interesting lives, experiences or stories to
tell - not celebrities or politicians, just regular people," she said.
"Prairie Fire" is Channel 12's monthly cultural magazine series about the
people and places of central Illinois.
