Brief: Pair to talk about teaching portfolio

If university teaching is one of your career goals and if you will be
looking for a community college or university position within the next few
years, now is the time to start a teaching portfolio - a description of
your teaching accomplishments accompanied by carefully selected documents
detailing the scope and quality of your teaching.

Dennis Baron, professor of English, and Nancy Diamond, education specialist
from the Instructional Development Division of the Office of Instructional
Resources, will speak about "The Teaching Portfolio" at 7 p.m. Sept. 27 in
142 Psychology Building.

The program is sponsored by the College Teaching Effectiveness Network. Its
purpose is to promote interest in the profession of college teaching, and
to help spread knowledge of effective college teaching techniques.
