Brief: Search for Gomes' successor under way
Charles G. Miller, head of the department of microbiology, has been named
the chair of the search committee to nominate a new dean of the College of
Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences.
W.R. Gomes left the deanship after seven years in August to become vice
president of the University of California's Division of Agriculture and
Natural Resources. David Chicoine, former head of the UI agricultural
economics department, was named interim dean until a successor is named.
