Brief: String quartet to perform at KAM
WILL-FM's November Second Sunday Concert will feature the UI Graduate
String Quartet playing music of Stravinsky, Mozart and Dvorak.
Members of the quartet, all graduate students in the School of Music, are
Juliette Mihai, violin; Ioana Missits, violin; John Peskey, viola; and
Alexandru Dumitrache, cello. All are coached by professor Emanuel Vardi.
The free concert, at 2 p.m. Nov. 12, will be broadcast live on WILL-FM
(90.9) from the Krannert Art Museum and Kinkead Pavilion. John Frayne and
Vic DiGeronimo will host the broadcast.
On the program are Stravinsky's Three Pieces for String Quartet; Mozart's
String Quartet No. 15 in D Minor, K421; and Antonin Dvorak's String Quartet
in F, Op. 96.
