Brief: Nominations sought for Moms award

The UI Mothers Association is seeking nominations for its  Medallion of
Honor award, created in 1966 to pay tribute to people who, by example and
service, used their talents to enrich the lives of others. Since 1977, the
award has gone to a woman affiliated in some way with the UI.

The Mothers Association wishes not only to spotlight the woman, but also to
draw attention to the prominence of UI graduates in many fields.

Nominations can be a way to congratulate a talented female colleague or to
bring the achievements of a graduate to the attention of a wide and varied
audience.

For a valid nomination, biographical information, three letters of support,
and the original and a copy of everything should be submitted by Dec. 20 to
Mothers Association, Medallion of Honor Committee, 2 Student Services
Building.
