Brief: Free foreign language classes offered
Free foreign language classes are available for faculty and staff members
and their spouses and dependents during the summer intersession. The
Intensive Foreign Language Intersession Program is intended to prepare
participants for travel abroad or for research requiring a foreign
language.
Non-credit courses are available in the following languages: beginning
only: Arabic, Chinese, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese
and Russian; beginning, intermediate and advanced: French, German and
Spanish. Courses will be taught from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday
from May 13 through May 31. Each class is limited to 25 participants, and
enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline for
registration is May 10.
