Staff Advisory Council elections
Elections are under way to fill two vacancies on the Staff Advisory Council.
Established in 1942, the council works in an advisory capacity with the
director of Personnel Services. Members help to identify and resolve problems
and to provide a means of informing staff employees of issues of interest
and importance to them. Council members are also active on committees affecting
staff employees.
The council includes eight elected members representing general employee
groups on campus -- clerical/secretarial; skilled crafts and trades; executive/administrative/managerial/professional;
service/maintenance; and technical/paraprofessional. The full council also
includes special group representatives as voted by the executive board.
Elected representatives serve four years. Terms for this election begin
July 1.
Detailed statements of qualifications are included with ballots that were
mailed to all employees in the clerical/secretarial and executive/administrative/managerial/professional
employee groups. Ballots were mailed to eligible voters May 13 and must
be returned to the Personnel Services Office by Tuesday. Election questions
should be directed to Lonnie Clark, Personnel Services Office, 333-3105.
