Staff elect two to advisory council

William Marble and Carol Franzen were elected to fill two vacancies on the Staff Advisory Council. The council works in an advisory capacity with the director of Personnel Services. Members help to identify and resolve problems and to provide a means of informing staff employees on issues of interest and importance to them.

In the recent elections, Carol Franzen, administrative secretary in the School of Music, was elected to represent staff employees in the clerical/secretarial employee group. About 700 clerical and secretarial employees voted in this election.

William Marble, business manager in mechanical and industrial engineering, was unopposed in the election. He will represent staff employees in the executive/administrative/managerial/professional category.

Both Franzen and Marble began their terms on the council July 1 and will serve four years.
