Holiday work schedule
Dec. 23: One-half day designated holiday
Dec. 24: One-half day designated holiday, one-half day excused
Dec. 25: Christmas Day/holiday
Dec. 31: Designated holiday
Jan. 1: New Year's Day/holiday
Jan. 20: Martin Luther King Day/holiday
Dec. 26, 27 and 30 are work days. Campus functions are expected to operate
normally on these days. Campus employees will be expected to work unless
specifically excused.
Paycheck distribution
For academic employees scheduled to be paid Dec. 20, payroll checks and
earnings statements will be distributed in the usual manner. Staff employee
payroll checks and earning statements will be distributed Dec. 23. To provide
additional security during the holiday period, departments are to return
all undistributed paychecks to Check Distribution in 100 Henry Administration
Building no later than 11:30 a.m. Dec. 23. Employees may get their paychecks
in person at Window A in 100 Henry Administration Building by presenting
their i-card.
Campus and U.S. mail delivery
Dec. 23: morning delivery only
Dec. 24 & 25: Closed
Dec. 26, 27 & 30: Normal delivery
Dec. 31 & Jan. 1: Closed
Jan. 2: Resume normal delivery
Parking
University parking meters or rental lots will not be enforced from Dec.
23 through Jan. 1. During these times, meters and rental lots will be available
for unrestricted use. This does not apply to 24-hour departmental and handicapped
rental spaces, which will continue to be enforced for the exclusive use
of the renter.
The Motorist Assist Program operated by Campus Parking will be available
from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. Dec. 26, 27 and 30. This service will not be available
from Dec. 23-25, 31 and Jan. 1.
Libraries
The library is open according to the campus holiday schedule from 8 a.m.
to 5 p.m. weekdays during the break except for the following dates:
Dec. 23: Closes at noon
Dec. 24, 25 & 31, Jan. 1: Closed.
Krannert Art Museum
Krannert Art Museum galleries will close at 5 p.m. Dec. 22 and will reopen
at 10 a.m. Dec. 28. The Palette Cafe will close at 3 p.m. Dec. 20 and will
reopen at 8:30 a.m. Jan. 20.
Krannert Center for the Performing Arts
The Krannert Center ticket office will close at 6 p.m. on Dec. 23 and will
reopen at 10 a.m. Jan. 2. Intermezzo closes at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 20; reopens
from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Jan. 10 & 11 only for the Illinois High School
Theater Festival; and then resumes its regular schedule at 8:30 a.m. Jan.
21. The Promenade closes at 6 p.m. Dec. 23 and reopens at 10 a.m. Jan. 2.
Tours end Dec. 13 and will resume Jan. 21.
