Benefits On Call
Faculty and staff members may get information about UI benefits by calling
"Benefits On Call" at 265-UIBC (8422). By using this service,
employees can hear their personal enrollment record (health or dental plans,
number of covered dependents, amount of State Plan Life Insurance, amount
of Accidental Death/Dismemberment Insurance), request a benefits statement
by mail or fax, receive answers to frequently asked questions, hear about
tax-deferred retirement plans, flexible spending accounts, and dependent
and spouse coverage.
The only time this service is not available is 4 to 6 a.m. Monday through
Friday, and 10 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday while the system is updated.
To access your information, dial 265-8422. After the welcome message, enter
your nine-digit Social Security number followed by the # key. Next you will
be requested to enter a four-digit PIN (Personal Identification Number).
(Your first call will require you to enter your birth month and year --
e.g. 0462 for April 1962 -- and then enter a four-digit PIN of your choice
to be used for all future calls.) Following a menu of topics, choose to
hear information or perform functions simply by pressing appropriate numbers
on your phone keypad. If you would like more information or forget your
