In the Dec. 19 issue of Inside Illinois:

• The headline about the appointment of Burks Oakley II was incorrect. Oakley has been named associate vice president for academic affairs.
  
  
• The byline was incorrect on the story about a gift from the Parker Hannifin Corp. The article was written by David Porreca of the News Bureau.
  
  
• In the death notice for Vern Zimmerman, it was stated incorrectly that his first wife, Marilyn Zimmerman, died in 1967. She died in 1995.
