Margaret N. Durham
Margaret N. Durham, a former UI employee, died June 17 at ManorCare Health Service, Urbana. She was 84.
Durham was placement director at the UI's School of Chemical Sciences for 20 years.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Leone E. Eckersley
Leone E. "Lee" Eckersley, a former UI employee, died June 2 at the Illinois Knights Templar Home, Paxton. She was 88.
Eckersley, a graduate of Illinois Business College, Springfield, was a proofreader at State Printing, Springfield, for 10 years and for 28 years at the UI Press. She retired in 1961.

Ralph Heicke
Ralph Heicke, a former UI employee, died June 17 at his home in Sun City, Ariz. He was 84.
After graduating from the UI, he worked in the accounting department of Illinois Power Co. for eight years. He then was the manager of operations in the administrative data processing department at the UI for 32 years. He retired in 1978.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth; a daughter; a sister; three grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Carl D. Henckell
Carl Dearing Henckell, a former UI employee, died June 14 at his home in Gulfport, Miss. He was 50.
Henckell earned a professional degree in architecture and a bachelor of science degree from Auburn University. He did graduate studies at the UI, where he also was a member of the faculty. While at the UI, Henckell worked at architecture firms in Champaign and Chicago and was design chief for numerous projects.
He is survived by his wife, Joanie; his mother; a son; and a daughter.

Harry W. Miller
Harry W. Miller, a former UI employee, died June 7 at Covenant Medical Center, Urbana. He was 85.
He worked at the UI physical plant for 35 years until he retired in September 1972.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; two sons; a daughter; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a sister.
Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund of St. Matthew Catholic Church, Champaign.
William H. Whetstone
William H. Whetstone, a former UI employee, died June 16 at ManorCare Health Service, Champaign. He was 76.
Whetstone was a UI graduate. He retired from the UI's physical plant in 1976 and then served as a substitute German and math teacher at Unity High School.
Whetstone is survived by a sister.
